TCenter Teleworking is a project partially sponsored by National Information Technology Council of Malaysia (NITC) under the DAGS initiative. This project which initially started in June 2002 at Desa Tun Razak and later at Bangsar is aimed at assisting women, unemployed youths and pensioners to use ICT skills and knowledge to earn income through teleworking.
And now it has been established in Seberang Jaya to assist the Northern Region community under the National Roll Out Plan. Tcenter.com.my provides a location for teleworkers to announce their services and for employers to offer specific work to be done online. This web portal is designed to be user-friendly and functional so as to encourage all sectors of the population to participate in teleworking.
Teleworking at Seberang Jaya Teleworking is a flexible work practice that can be described as working from a alternative location other than the usual place of work. The TCenter project in Seberang Jaya is aimed at empowering the urban poor to use ICT as an enabler to do teleworking and earn an income.
Unless, the poor and the disadvantaged are exposed to the benefits of ICT, the social digital divide will widen with serious consequences for the socio-economic profile of the nation.
Social Digital Divide
The parties involved in the project are committed to creating awareness on the importance of ICT in their daily life especially as an enabler to increase their income. Teleworking is set to be more relevant and more wide spread when ICT becomes more advanced.

Program Latihan Kemahiran Yayasan Kemajuan Sosial Malaysia (YKSM) dengan kerjasama Kementerian Sumber Manusia, telah menganjurkan Program Latihan Kemahiran untuk Belia menganggur, pekerja yang diberhentikan dan ibu tunggal. Elaun sara diri akan diberikan diantara RM500.00 sehingga RM800.00 sebulan mengikut kategori. Kursus akan dijalankan dari hari Isnin hingga Sabtu (6 hari seminggu) selama dua bulan.
